2024 BMW S 1000 RR

For years, the BMW S 1000 RR has built a name for itself by providing riders with exceptional performance on the track and on the open road. At its heart, the S 1000 RR features a 999cc four-stroke inline four-cylinder engine with a titanium valve on each cylinder. The engine is both water- and oil-cooled and features electronic fuel injection for precise mixture control. This gives the S 1000 RR a heart-pounding 205 horsepower and 83 lb-ft of torque for a 0-60 time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 188 MPH! The fuel injection system is complemented by a ride-by-wire throttle system, variable intake, and a knock sensor for optimal engine management. With a 4.35-gallon fuel tank (including a 1-gallon reserve), the 2024 S1000 RR also incorporates a multi-disc anti-hopping clutch in an oil bath, which is mechanically operated and reinforced for durability. The constant-mesh six-speed gearbox is equipped with straight-cut gears, enabling the S1000 RR to unleash a formidable 205 horsepower, 83 lb-ft of torque, and reach a top speed of 185 MPH!

For the 2024 BMW S 1000 RR models, two distinct sets of riding modes are available: one tailored for street riding and another optimized for the track. The latest generation of Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) now offers enhanced standard safety and performance, thanks to its lean angle sensor, 6-axis sensor cluster, and fine-tuning capabilities. The DTC system provides four fixed basic settings corresponding to different riding modes, including Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race. Additionally, there is the available Pro Modes option, which brings along DTC Wheelie function. This function allows you to either suppress or limit wheelies, with a focus on maximizing acceleration by detecting and managing front wheel lift-off. A new addition to the DTC system in 2023 was Slide Control, which utilizes a steering angle sensor to estimate the slip angle at the rear wheel based on its signal, sensor box inputs, and wheel speeds. Slide Control continuously assesses the current slip angle and adjusts it to remain within the DTC setpoint.

The 2024 BMW S 1000 RR comes with a wide range of standard features and even more optional features to tailor the motorcycle to your preferences. Standard equipment for the S 1000 RR includes a 6.5-inch digital information display screen, hill start control, dynamic traction control, four riding modes, BMW Motorrad ABS, ABS Pro, GPS Laptrigger, and the M chassis kit.
