Meet the Team at BMW Detroit

Lincoln Phillip, Owner: Lincoln Phillip is a charismatic and enthusiastic character who will give you a warm welcome when you meet him. Lincoln has a law degree and is also the General Manager of Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep. He rides a 2020 BMW R1250GSA and is an avid huntsman, pilot, scuba diver and spends much of his downtime in Charlevoix, relaxing on the lake. Lincoln is dedicated to making BMW Detroit the best BMW motorcycle dealership in the country.
Jeff Bottrell, General Manager: Many of you know Jeff from his days as our service tech, training under Don. Jeff has been in the motorcycle business in Southeast Michigan for over 30 years and owns over 14 motorcycles. A true motorcycle enthusiast as well as a certified master motorcycle technician, Jeff is at home whether on the racetrack, riding the trails or riding long distance. Jeff has returned home to BMW Detroit to lead us on an upward trajectory and loves that he gets to play with motorcycles every day.
Jennifer Ott, Sales Manager: Jennifer is our enthusiastic sales manager and her passion for BMW Motorcycles shines through in her smile. She is very well known in the BMW MOA community, including in her role as a BMW MOA Director, BMW MOA Ambassador, as well as the BMW Motorcycle Touring Club of Detroit President. She has been riding over 40 years, owns 10 BMW motorcycles including her 2020 BMW R1250GSA, and logs over 30,000 miles per year. Jennifer feels most at home on her bike, and rides nearly year round. If you want to purchase a bike from a true rider, you are in the best of hands with Jennifer.
Mats Ceder: Mats is our newest salesperson and is a very welcome addition to the team. Mats is a highly skilled off-road rider, as evidenced from his profile picture. He was a Rawhyde Adventures Ambassador and is an Oakland County Marine Sheriff's Deputy. Mats is originally from Sweden and has a very calm manner, but don't let that fool you...he is also a certified commercial pilot and a technical scuba diver. Look for future off-road rides that Mats will lead with the BMW Touring Club of Detroit.
Don Lusk, Service Manager and Master Mechanic: When meeting Don for the first time, you will see a quiet, unassuming character, but still waters run deep with Don. An avid off-road and trials rider, Don has ridden in many remote areas on planet earth, not only on his GS, but in his vintage Land Rover and his specialized Toyota camping truck. Every customer that deals with Don always has the same opinion: “Don is the ONLY person I would ever let work on my bike.” With over 40 years of wrenching experience, a better mechanic you would be hard pressed to find!
Gerhardt Vikar, Service Tech: "Gary" comes with over 30 years of wrenching experience and rides a 1996 BMW R1100RSL and a 2014 R1200RT. He came from another European motorcycle company to pursue his passion of BMW Motorcycles. He is a Level 1 BMW Tech and Gerhardt's passions include military re-enactments, computers, working with 3D printers and building models. We are so excited to have him here.
Tad Tjernagel, Service Tech and Master Mechanic: Tad is a Level 3 BMW tech, and comes to us from a BMW Motorrad dealer in California. Tad and his wife moved home to Michigan to raise their new baby boy and is a delightful addition to our team. He is not only a highly skilled BMW tech, he has the moves on the racetrack on his BMW S1000RR, and he is has a passion for glass blowing and miniature model painting.
Joseph Foote, Parts: We met Joseph when he purchased a BMW G310R from us. He currently rides a gorgeous 2023 F900XR, loves photography including drone work, 3-D printing, has three beautiful dogs and owns a farm! He has a wonderfully positive personality and his customer service skills are top notch!
Maureen Weiland, Accountant: We are very happy to welcome Maureen to the team. The first thing you notice about Maureen is her kind, warm and friendly manner. She is highly experienced in all things accounting, bookkeeping and sales and fell right into the job with ease. Maureen loves to garden and travel with her husband. She also likes pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, but she isn't much into yoga :)
